Embroidery Project Complete

After many months and hours, my embroidery project is finally completed! It will soon be on it's way to California and it's home at St. Christina's Orthodox Church. This project has been a big part of my life these past months so it's bittersweet to see it go, but it's a joy and an honor to be able to serve the Church in this way.

What threads have you used for this? It looks to me as if you are using the technique given in Galina Tregubova's book on embroidering icons. Lovely work. I would love to to one myself, but worry about the stamina involved.

Hi Karen,

Thank you for your comment.
You are correct! Galina Tregubov has been my teacher for many years. We use DMC perle floss. And you are also correct that it takes a lot of dedication, patience and mental energy, but it is very rewarding work!
