Freshly Dug Parsnips

Now that our garden is completely free of snow, I began to think about the parsnips I had overwintered and decided to see if the ground had thawed enough to dig up a few. Amazingly it had! What a wonderful thing to harvest something so early. As you can see, some of them are quite small, so I'm thinking I should have thinned them out like carrots. There's always something new to learn when it comes to gardening!

Hey Reba, you are really posting well now on the blog.yes, we are eating parsnips, too, so sweet now. The deer did not get them because we put chicken wire over them. Why don' t you make some prints of parsnips???on your cards? Will look for them, ok? I am working on crocheting Easter eggs in a basket...bye cb
