Kyla mentioned some colored string, actually it's rope, at a local store. After a sampling of one 50 ft. roll of each, I ended up with this. Starting to just crochet without patterns now and ending up with things like this. What will it be? Plant holder? Waiste basket? Bag? Suggestions???

Yes, a suggestion. I'm always looking for ways to hang potted plants. If you crochet three long cords and join them at the top (attached to the basket at the bottom of course) and you have a dandy plant hanger that will take any kind of pot!
I love the beginnings of your rag rug, as well! I'm about to get back into knitting some of the handspun yarn I am accumulating! Lots of snow and cold weather here still.
