Amigurumi

From Wikipedia comes this definition of Amigurumi: Amigurumi (knitted stuffed toy) is the Japanese art of knitting or crocheting small stuffed animals and anthropomorphic creatures. The word is derived from a combination of the Japanese words ami, meaning crocheted or knitted, and nuigurumi, meaning stuffed doll. Amigurumi are typically animals, but can include artistic renderings or inanimate objects endowed with anthropomorphic features. I had an opportunity to make a christening gift recently and chose this:

from the book, Amigurumi Two! by Ana Paula Rimoli. It was a big hit and I like the way it came out. I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys quick and easy crochet projects with a flair and appeal for the young at heart.

Hi Carolyn,
I tried posting an anonymous comment on this several days ago; it said the comment had to be approved after I sent it, but the comment never appeared. Just to let you know. The comment I made on Kyla's post wouldn't go through unless I first previewed it and used my google ID.

But, this is such a neat project. I just loved it!
